Bonny Cain

Bonny L. Cain, 73, of Rushville, passed away at 10:26 PM, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born on October 15, 1945, in Ripley, the daughter of Helmore and Sheila (Elzie) Travis.  She married Forrest B. Cain on May 28, 1982, in Browning and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters Kathy Kline of Blacksburg, South Carolina and Casey Chelette and husband Joshua of West Monroe, Louisiana, six grandchildren Travis Cox and companion Kelsie Ashcraft, Cassie DeVore, Calie Henricks, Caien, Cyia and Calea Chelette, one great grandson Zaiden and another due in November, one brother Joe Travis and wife Deborah of Goose Creek, South Carolina, one sister Ruby Hapke and husband Henry of Clayton, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son Ralph Devore, Jr., two brothers Morris and William Travis and one sister Betty Henson.

Bonny was a graduate of Brown County High School and she received her dental assistant degree in Carthage.  She was an entrepreneur and business woman involved with many different businesses.  She also worked in the dietary department of Culbertson Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2005.  She enjoyed canning, crocheting and attending auctions.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Ripley Cemetery, in Ripley.  Memorials are suggested to the Garret Collins Family, to assist with Garret’s medical expenses.
