Ermal Rabe

URSA, Ill. -- Ermal A. Rabe, 90, of Ursa, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at North Adams Home in Mendon.

Ermal was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Quincy. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Nellie (Poulter) Kepler. She married Ralph C. Rabe on Dec. 24, 1948, in Quincy. Ralph survives of the North Adams Home in Mendon.

Ermal had attended Lima Christian Church and later the Lima Federated Church. She was an election judge until the age of 89. She loved traveling, collecting family photos, doing word searches and cooking, and she made the best Pink Stuff dessert.

In addition to Ralph, Ermal is survived by three sons, Dennis R. (Debbie) Rabe of Mendon, Marvin E. (Tammy) Rabe of Quincy, Michael L. (Pam) Rabe of Ursa; five grandchildren, Josh (Debbie) Rabe of Quincy, Lindsey (Rob) Frese of Quincy, Cassie (Bryan) Johnson of Quincy, Jenna (Lane) Sparrow of Quincy, Clayton (Julia) Rabe of Camanche, Iowa; six great-grandchildren, Paige and Cal Rabe, Jackson and Elle Frese, Taylor Sparrow, Wyatt Rabe; special first cousins, Elma Jean Knox of Quincy, Lucille Roskamp of Sutter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one sister in infancy.

SERVICES: Private family services will be held at the Hunter Funeral Home at Mendon. Interment will be in the New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the North Adams Home Activity Fund or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
