Gay Elaine Andrew, 67, of Loraine, died on Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2014) in her home.

Gay was born on Dec. 23, 1946, in Quincy, a daughter of Arthur and Gladys Cavanaugh Belden. She married Bernie Andrew on Dec. 28, 1966, in Fowler. Bernie survives of Loraine.

She was a life member of the Geronteers and a member of the Loraine United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Spoon River Activity Association and the Silver Dollar Square Dance Club.

She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, playing cards, crocheting, playing bunco, square dancing, singing, collecting clowns and bee memorabilia.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family, which was a tradition started long ago in their family.

Surviving are her husband, Bernie, of Loraine; three children, Angie (Tommy) Walsh of Loraine, Tina (Dave) Bunte of Golden, Heather (Walter House) Andrew of Fowler; 13 grandchildren, Alexis, RaeBeth, and Mason Barnes, Ivan, Emma, Owen, and Addi House, Machaela, Anthony and Lilly Cantrell, Caitlin Bunte, and Thomas and James Walsh; and one sister, Kassandra (Melvin) Moellring of Coatsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rodney Belden.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in the Loraine United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Connie Jenkins conducting. She will be laid to rest in New Loraine Cemetery.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.

MEMORIALS: James E. Carey Cancer Center or the Loraine United Methodist Church.
