Kathryn Lehr

Doris K. “Kathryn” Lehr, 86, of West Point passed away at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in the Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden.

Kathryn was born on January 18, 1933 near Stillwell. She was the daughter of Harry and Doris (McCabe) Staff. She married Raymond William Lehr on April 6, 1952 at Bethany United Church of Christ parsonage in Tioga. Raymond passed away on September 21, 2014.

Kathryn was a 1950 graduate of Bowen High School. She was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga. She and her family farmed and raised livestock in the West Point area for many years. She enjoyed Sudoku, quilting, gardening, baking and was a very gifted seamstress.

Surviving are; three daughters, Darlene (Raymond) Stevens of Lafayette, Diane (Dan) Meyer of Clayton, Nadine Marlow of LaPrairie, five grandchildren, Christine (Lou) Lambert of Uhrichsrille, OH., Jared (Angie) Gooding of Huntsville, Sandra (Tim) Gray of Galesburg, Bryan (Julie) Stevens of West Point, Jeremiah (Kate Chettle) Jones of Quincy, two step-grandchildren, Erin Marlow of Maryville, MO., Amy Meyer of Quincy, nine great-grandchildren, Alexis Lambert, Justin Lambert, Allie Lambert, Rian Gooding, Janessa Gooding, Henry Gray, Vivian Gray, Grace Stevens, Caroline Stevens, four step great-grandchildren, Jack Dinsdale, Grace Dinsdale, AJ Dinsdale and Adrienne Ransdell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Alice Leasman, Phyllis Crawford and one son-in-law, Dean Marlow.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga with Pastor Joel Schlatter officiating. Interment will be in the Bethany Church Cemetery in Tioga. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been suggested to the Bethany United Church of Christ or Golden Good Shepherd Home.
