GOLDEN, Ill. A�a�" Leona Christine Heinecke, 87, of 309 E. Fifth, Golden, died at 4 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 3, 2013) in Blessing Hospital, Quincy.

Born Nov. 20, 1925, at her parents' home near LaPrairie, she was a daughter of John G. and Alice (Altje) Schuster Ihnen. She married Eberhard Leonard Heinecke on Sept. 16, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Oct. 6, 2004.

Mrs. Heinecke was a lifelong farmer's wife in Clayton Township and Golden area. She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clayton. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who taught her family a faithful devotion to God and the importance of family.

Surviving are two sons, Roger Heinecke (Patricia) of Golden and John Heinecke of Clayton; four daughters, Carol Altgilbers of Quincy, Mary Herschler (Michael) of Quincy, Dorothy Dieterle of Golden and Betty Schmidt of Golden; 14 grandchildren, Gary Altgilbers (Barbara) of Keokuk, Iowa, Cris Altgilbers (Krissy) of Dallas City, Casey Herschler of St. Louis, Mo., Cory Herschler of Belleville, Franklin Dieterle and Scott Dieterle of Golden, John Dieterle (special friend Jackie Kessler) of Rushville, Alison Dickhut (T.J.) of Golden, Kimberly Heinecke (special friend Randall Noe) of Ankeny, Iowa, Matthew Schmidt (Carrie) of Camp Point, Kayla Mock (Daniel) of Camp Point, and Olivia Heinecke, Madelyn Heinecke and Abigail Heinecke, all of Clayton; and 16 great-grandchildren, Jared, Jacob (Allie) and Devon Altgilbers, BayLee Clampitt, Makayla, Makenna, and Brinklee Altgilbers, Kevin Dieterle, Tyler Dieterle (special friends Erica Koehn and Ryli) and Kathryn Dieterle, Keaton Dickhut, Carter, McKenzie, and Mason Schmidt and Asher and Riggins Mock; five great-great-grandchildren, Collin Dieterle, Mary Jean Sparks, Paysli Dieterle, Cali and Kyle Altgilbers; a sister, Esther Aden of Camp Point; and a brother-in law, Paul Aden of Golden; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons in-law, Larry Dieterle and Herb Schmidt; two brothers, Wilfred Ihnen and Orville Ihnen; and a sister, Mary Ann Aden.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Clayton, conducted by the Rev. Kirk Cunningham. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery, Golden.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hunter Funeral Home, Golden.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers to Blessing Hospice or Clayton Good Shepherd Church.
