Martha E. Flesner, 97, of Quincy formerly of Golden passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in the Sycamore Healthcare Center in Quincy.

Martha was born on October 7, 1919 in Clayton to the late John and Emma Herren. She married Norman H. Flesner. Norman passed away in 1995.

Martha was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden.  She had worked for Oren Black Funeral Home and later as an Aide at the Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden. She enjoyed Quilting, needle point, and gardening.

Surviving are; One son, Stephen (Marilyn) Flesner of Washington, one grandson, Alan (Tracy) Flesner of Morgan Town, KY., two great-grandchildren, Thomas James Flesner, Staria Flesner, two great-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Riley, one brother, Eilert Herren of Hannibal and one sister Edna Solter of Canton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden.

Memorial Contributions have been suggested to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden.

The Hunter Funeral Home in Golden assisted with the arrangements.
