Panchetta Ann Tanner 82, of Ursa Illinois, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at Bickford of Quincy. She was born on April 4th, 1940, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of George William Grotz and Julia Olean Bagley Grotz. She married David L. Tanner on April 12, 1958, in Hermando, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2018.
Panchetta attended Mendon, Illinois schools, graduated from Mendon Unity High School, and graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing, earning a Register Nursing Degree. She was very active in her husband, David’s, business “Tanner Construction”, helping with accounting and management. She was a member of the Ursa Christian Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors are four children: Cynthia (Kevin) Shriver of Glen Carbon, Tonia (Neal) Hemming of Quincy, Davette “Dede” (Stephen) Miller of Mesa, AZ., and David G. (Patty) Tanner of Ursa; eight grandchildren: Nicolette “Nicki” Shriver, Kyle (Macy) Shriver, Shane (Sadie) Asher, Candace (Greg) Huckstep, Andrew (Keri) Miller, Katherine “Kayla” (Todd) Brown, Brandon Hoebing, and Abigail “Abbie” Tanner; and five great grandchildren, Brighton Brown, Bryce Brown, Hunter Huckstep, Harlee Huckstep, and Jack Miller.
Services will be Wednesday August 3, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Triplett Funeral Home of Mendon with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the New Providence Cemetery near Ursa, Illinois.
Visitation will be Tuesday August 2, 2022, from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm at Triplett Funeral Home of Mendon.
