Patricia D. Bowdish

Patricia D. Bowdish, 83, of Bowen, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 7:35 a.m. at Golden Good Shepherd.

Patricia was born November 4, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Bill and Mariann (LeFaver) Long. She was raised in Elmhurst, Illinois, where she attended York High School.

On April 22, 1961, Patricia married Ronald Bowdish at St. Alexander’s Church in Villa Park, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2020.

Patricia devoted her life to caring for others, both in her work and in her home. She worked as a CNA and was also a loving homemaker who took great pride in raising her family. She enjoyed reading the Bible and watching the Hallmark Channel, finding comfort in her faith and in simple, peaceful moments.

She is survived by her children, Steven Bowdish of Oelwein, Iowa, Melissa Blanco (Joe) of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Jill Chinderle (Ronald) of Bowen, Illinois; her sister, Sue Brown of Heber Springs, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Amanda Carnes, Alyssa Carnes, Joey Blanco (Samantha), Emily Bliven (Tim), Kyle Chinderle, Dawson Espinosa, Jessica Blanco and Avery Chinderle; great grandchildren, Blake, Wyatt, Brayden, Liam, Emmit, Hemi, Joey and Rowan. She is also remembered by many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; her children, Debra Jo Bowdish, Ronald Michael Bowdish, and JoAnn Carnes; and her siblings, Chris and Scott.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Triplett Funeral Home in Golden, Illinois. Burial will follow at Bowen Cemetery in Bowen, Illinois. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
