Ruby L. Britt-Taylor

Ruby Britt Taylor (84) of Camp Point, IL passed away in her home on Sunday, January 11th, 2026. Ruby was born on January 15th, 1941, in Hannibal, MO. Daughter of Marie Bowers. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Don Britt, Dean Taylor and son Austin Taylor.

Beyond her work at Davison and Cleavers and Motorola in Quincy, IL, Ruby was a devoted mother to Donnie Britt (Gayla), Connie Goedereis (Mark), Martin Britt (June), Raymond Britt, Marlin Britt, Desiree Taylor, and Austin Taylor. Grandchildren: Trisha Britt, Dusti (Mark)Houston, Courtney (Mark) Connour, Markus (Ashleigh) Goedereis, Amanda (Brad) Neiders, Jessica (Nick) Garkie, Lucie (Tyler) Spohr, Brandon Britt, Kayla (Austin) Bruns. Total 7 kids, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Ruby was a Licensed Foster Parent in Adams County for several years providing love and support for children in need. She loved taking care of her farm animals and mostly her beloved pugs.

Memorial Services will be held at The Triplett Funeral Home in Mendon, IL on Monday, January 26th at 4:00pm and followed by a dinner at The Unity Multiplex 2259 County Road 1100 E Mendon, IL (The former North Adams Nursing Home).
